Silver Stage Middle and High Schools recently welcomed some very special visitors! The American Dream Network came to film the incredible students and teachers in action as they cultivate a one-acre community garden that’s making a real impact.
At the heart of this initiative is Silver Stage Middle School teacher Rachel Leach, whose dedication has helped grow this program into something truly special. Thanks to partnerships with Green Our Planet and the Healthy Communities Coalition (HCC), students are gaining invaluable hands-on experience in sustainability, agriculture, and leadership.

Lyon County School District is proud to spotlight Trey Lundeen, a dedicated student-athlete from Dayton High School, who has been selected as the new NIAA Western Representative. Trey’s journey to this leadership position is a testament to his passion for sports, commitment to leadership, and dedication to representing his peers.

The 12th Annual Fernley STEM Festival took place on Thursday, February 27th! The event welcomed students from all schools in the Fernley area, including home-schooled students, to participate in this incredible event. With nearly 400 student projects and over 32 business exhibitors from the local community, the festival provided an engaging and educational experience for all who attended.
